We recommend that the water softener in your garage be professionally removed before EpoxyJax (unless you are experienced and prefer to remove it on your own) the day before your service. We recommend having your water softener company come by, disconnect it, and remove it from the garage. If you choose to leave your water softener in place, our team will carefully paint the edge on the floor so that it looks as if it is sitting on top of the coating.. Please note that if the water softener is ever moved or shifted due to salting, a “hole” will be seen where paint was not applied. Once the concrete floor coating is applied, you or a professional can move the water softener back to its intended floor location.

Remove anything that is on the floor as we provide floor coating services. There is no need to remove anything on shelves. Our team will be able to cover items on the wall with plastic. You have a couple of options when it comes to where to place your belongings: If you have a storage unit, move your belongings over to the unit before our team arrives (the day before). Rent a moving truck or a mobile storage unit that comes to your residence temporarily.

Do not touch it as it is very difficult to disconnect. Whether the water heater is raised or sits on the ground, our team will paint close to the edges with a fine brush and make it appear as if the water heater is sitting on top of the floor coating when they are done. If the water heater has legs, our team will paint around each. There is no need to disconnect or move the water heater before we arrives for a garage concrete floor coating service.
