Our work process

Our experienced team of designers and installers works with you every step of the way to craft a floor that enhances your home’s style, indoors and out.

Step 1 First, we’ll prep your project area’s surface. Our certified installation teams have the skill and equipment to get this task done with ease. Our floor grinders use high-quality diamond tooling under extreme pressure to profile the surface of the concrete.
Step 2 We’ll then go in and repair any cracks or damaged areas needing extra attention. These minor flaws are repaired with us and ready to coat in as little as 15 minutes.
Step 3 Unlike traditional epoxy, our coating system features strong, flexible Polyurea. This ensures your project’s base coating is installed with maximum adhesion and becomes a permanent part of your floor.
Step 4 We will then apply vinyl chips in whatever design and color you have chosen for your project.
Step 5 Then, we’ll begin scraping and collecting any loose chips, so we can create the perfectly textured surface in preparation for the topcoat.
Step 6 The final step to our process is the installation of our polyaspartic top coat that is 100% antibacterial and ready to drive on after 24hrs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum floor size we can service?

While small entryway spaces, patios and porches are spaces that are great for us, our minimum project size is equivalent to a standard garage. Not to worry, you can add on a front pati, porch, or any other space where you need our long-lasting solutions once a room or garage containing the minimum square footage is serviced. We can coat all spaces on the same trip/day.
What Do I Do With My Water Softener Before My Garage Floor Coating Application?

We recommend that the water softener in your garage be professionally removed before EpoxyJax (unless you are experienced and prefer to remove it on your own) the day before your service. We recommend having your water softener company come by, disconnect it, and remove it from the garage. If you choose to leave your water softener in place, our team will carefully paint the edge on the floor so that it looks as if it is sitting on top of the coating.. Please note that if the water softener is ever moved or shifted due to salting, a “hole” will be seen where paint was not applied. Once the concrete floor coating is applied, you or a professional can move the water softener back to its intended floor location.
What Should I Do With All of the Stuff in My Garage Before Your Arrival?

Remove anything that is on the floor as we provide floor coating services. There is no need to remove anything on shelves. Our team will be able to cover items on the wall with plastic. You have a couple of options when it comes to where to place your belongings: If you have a storage unit, move your belongings over to the unit before our team arrives (the day before). Rent a moving truck or a mobile storage unit that comes to your residence temporarily.
What Should I Do About the Water Heater?

Do not touch it as it is very difficult to disconnect. Whether the water heater is raised or sits on the ground, our team will paint close to the edges with a fine brush and make it appear as if the water heater is sitting on top of the floor coating when they are done. If the water heater has legs, our team will paint around each. There is no need to disconnect or move the water heater before we arrives for a garage concrete floor coating service.
